Gowago is Switzerland’s number one car leasing platform. It is a digital car shop, where our users find the perfect car for them at a fixed, monthly price, whether through leading or car credit.

We are a team of 60 enthusiastic and talented people from many different backgrounds, working with the same goal of building the next generation car marketplace. Our headquarters is in Zürich, Switzerland, and our engineering and product team also extends to Belgrade, Serbia.

Our platform is cloud-native (AWS) and built on a modern stack of different technologies. TypeScript, Postgres, Redis, Terraform and React to name a few.

Technology is what makes Gowago successful, and our team of 15 engineers is the force behind it. Your mission is to take ownership in delivering value to our users—understanding what matters to them, being proactive about what needs to be built, and driving solutions that align with our product vision. You'll work closely with the Product team to turn strategic goals into technical reality.

While delivering on our product goals, you'll help drive the engineering team forward—contributing to architectural decisions, establishing standards, and championing code quality. You'll play a key role in building a technical foundation that scales with our ambitions.

Tasks

• Engage early with designers, product managers, and stakeholders to shape product and UX requirements, helping guide the team toward the most effective solutions.
• Contribute to the full development cycle: technical design, development, test automation, experimentation, analysis, and launch. You’ll be reviewing code and design docs, giving feedback on product specs and mocks.
• Nurture a culture of technical quality from design, through code review, to production operations.
• Work with TypeScript, NestJS, Postgres, NodeJS, Docker, AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, and various other services), ReactJS, Github, Claude Code

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience
• High proficiency in TypeScript
• Experience designing architecture and deployment of web applications & services
• Positive can-do attitude, passion to level-up those around you through curiosity and fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and with teams across the engineering, product & design organizations
• (nice to have) Experience with AWS or another cloud provider
• (nice to have) Prepared to the occasional frontend contribution when helpful for the team
• (nice to have) Likes cars and is interested in the transportation and mobility of the future
