Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience in developing accessible technologies.
- Experience in Business-to-Customer (B2C) or e-commerce software.
- Experience with YouTube or Google Commerce tech stack.

- Design, develop, and deploy back-end features integrating YouTube, Google Commerce, and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) technologies.
- Build and maintain reliable software for the YouTube and YouTube Studio applications across web and mobile, leveraging YouTube's infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Product Management, User Experience (UX), and User Research to translate product requirements into user-centric solutions.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering teams including viewer, merchants, and platform, to deliver end-to-end shopping experiences.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
