As a Sustainability Strategy Trainee, you will contribute to solve complex business and sustainability challenges and work on key strategic issues of our clients, bring your bold perspective into action in a collaborative team, and develop transformative strategies on all organizational levels.

How you can make an impact

• You will work in a variety of industries, across Life Sciences and Healthcare, Industrial and Consumer Goods, Public Sector and Financial Services.
• On your projects you will be working across the entire sustainability journey and value chain of our clients, project examples include:

• modelling the impact of climate risks on corporate growth plans
• reviewing product portfolios on future readiness
• analysing data for product and corporate carbon footprints and support in designing decarbonization strategies
• measuring the circularity of products from design to recycle
• developing end-of-life product strategies
• increasing business resilience by optimizing sourcing strategies
• working on data strategies to infuse sustainability into a company’s digitalization journey
• performing ESG Due Diligence in an M&A transaction
• accelerating corporate sustainability impact through AI applications

• You will quickly broaden your experiences, working with experienced international Deloitte professionals and high-profile clients, often in flexible and agile team environments

Who we are looking for

To be considered for this role, there are certain qualifications you’ll need:

• Incisive thinker, confident in structuring complex problems with concepts, analysis and frameworks
• Strong analytical skills and ability to analyse and interpret key drivers of both business and sustainability performance and develop a cohesive strategic narrative, with great attention to detail
• Entrepreneurial and innovation-driven mindset
• Collaborative team player with an enthusiastic, positive, 'can do' attitude
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills, with professional presence
• Experience in working collaboratively in a team environment, with a motivated and enthusiastic attitude towards dealing with ambiguity and complexity
• Fluency in English. German strongly preferred. French a plus.
• Robust Excel and Power Point skills
• Hands-on experience with AI tools paired with robust prompting skills
• Challenging internships or initial professional experience in strategy consulting or industry roles with high sustainability relevance
• You just completed or are on track to complete your Master’s degree with excellent academic achievements from a leading university or business school, e.g., in Science, Engineering or Business
