About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transition Manager to join Risk Data Solutions on a temporary basis. The Transition Manager will be responsible to manage and deliver a replatforming of a client-facing SaaS platform. The new platform builds the foundation for further migrations of client-facing applications that need to be taken into account from the start. The key objective is to ensure a smooth transition without negative client impact, whilst managing the timeline and budget. The Transition Manager will be working closely with the Risk Data Solutions Management Team and with cross-functional teams such as Product, Platform, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, Operations, Legal, Compliance and Risk Management.

Key responsibilities will include:

Project Planning & Management
• Develop and maintain a detailed transition plan, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Develop project plan beyond replatforming and first client migration and manage dependencies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, platform, product, customer support, sales etc.) to ensure alignment.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines and objectives managing business and execution risk continuously.

Stakeholder Communication
• Act as the primary point of contact.
• Provide regular updates to leadership and clients on transition status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate decision-making by presenting clear options and implications (for e.g. technical decisions with impact on client's current contractual obligations and / or future value proposition and take decisions into account for client migration strategy and planning)

Technical Coordination
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure infrastructure readiness and compatibility
• Ensure data migration, integrations, and platform configurations are executed correctly and in line with contractual obligations.
• Validate that the new platform meets performance, security, and compliance requirements and ensure required certifications are obtained.

Client Migration Leadership
• Design and execute a comprehensive client migration strategy tailored to different customer segments.
• Ensure alignment between technical execution and client migration strategy
• Ensure market readiness in time for migration including necessary security certifications and documentation is in place
• Oversee the end-to-end migration process, including data transfer, configuration, and validation.
• Ensure minimal disruption to client operations and maintain high service continuity.

Client Communication & Engagement
• Develop and manage a proactive communication plan to keep clients informed and supported throughout the transition incl. right documentation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client migration-related inquiries and escalations.
• Organize client-facing webinars, training sessions, and onboarding materials for the new platform.

Cross-Functional Coordination
• Collaborate with engineering, product, customer success, and support teams to align on migration timelines and deliverables.
• Ensure internal readiness to support clients pre- and post-migration.
• Coordinate with compliance and legal teams to ensure client communication is in line with requirements.

Risk & Quality Management
• Identify and mitigate risks related to client migration, including data integrity, downtime, and feature parity.
• Oversee testing and validation of client environments post-migration.
• Implement feedback loops to continuously improve the migration process.

Client Success & Retention
• Monitor client satisfaction and adoption metrics during and after migration.
• Ensure high-touch support for key accounts and complex use cases.
• Partner with customer success teams to drive client engagement and retention on the new platform.

Documentation & Training
• Ensure the availability of clear, accurate, and accessible documentation for clients and internal teams.
• Support the development of internal playbooks for handling client-specific migration scenarios.
• Ensure certifications are in place and shared properly.

Post-Migration Review
• Conduct post-migration reviews with clients to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction.
• Document lessons learned and contribute to a knowledge base for future transitions.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience managing SaaS platform transitions and large-scale client migrations.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex initiatives on time and budget.
• High analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Familiarity with SaaS architecture, data migration, and customer success best practices.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience with enterprise clients and standardized B2B SaaS offerings.
• Knowledge of SaaS procurement processes of large corporates and technical requirements incl. security / certification.
