EF Education First, the world leader in international education, is looking for a passionate, entrepreneurial, and hardworking Vice President of Flights. This is a high-impact role for a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who thrives in a global, decentralized organization. You’ll oversee directors and large teams managing flight inventory, airline partnerships, and operational excellence. You’ll also lead negotiations with major airlines and drive innovation across EF’s global flight programs.

The ideal candidate is motivated to lead an emerging team focused on strategizing and securing the best flights inventory for our customers and business. The individual should also possess the necessary skills to service and support the needs of our K-12 and adult sales teams based in North America. This role requires international travel approximately 25% of the time.

Start date for this full-time position is August 2026 or earlier.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead Airline Strategy: Own relationships with global airline partners and negotiate high-stakes agreements that deliver value and reliability.
• Manage Flight Operations: Oversee global flight inventory and allocation, ensuring efficiency, cost optimization, and a positive customer experience.
• Inspire Teams: Lead and develop directors and large teams across multiple regions, fostering collaboration and growth.
• Drive Innovation & Change: Lead by example in championing new ideas and technologies, inspiring your teams to think critically and challenge the status quo.
• Leverage Technology: Apply expert-level skills in Sabre and Amadeus to optimize booking systems and workflows.
• Collaborate Globally: Work across EF’s decentralized structure to align strategies and drive towards common goals for the products you support.
• Own & optimize a multi-million-dollar budget: consisting of both direct and indirect costs
• Set the Vision: Establish and communicate a compelling strategic direction that energizes teams and stakeholders to achieve ambitious goals.

Who you are

• 10+ years in senior leadership roles within the airline or travel industry, with a proven track record in flight operations and team management
• Proficiency in Sabre and Amadeus with a working knowledge of NDC and direct connect technology
• Skilled in leading complex airline negotiations and securing favorable agreements
• Innovative, curious, entrepreneurial, and adaptable in a fast-paced global environment
• A naturally collaborative team member who builds strong partnerships and brings out the best in those around you
• A strategic leader who inspires trust, cultivates talent, and rallies teams around a shared vision to deliver exceptional results
• Competitive and goal driven as an individual and embody a "nothing is impossible attitude” when it comes to helping your team achieve its goals
• Flexible and understand that the Travel industry is unpredictable, and you are prepared to ride the highs and lows
• A team player who comes to work every day with a work hard and have fun attitude

• Experience working with North American travel consumers is a plus
