On behalf of our client, a global institutional alternative asset management firm with a location in Zug, Switzerland, that specializes among others in litigation financing, we are seeking a Data & Integration Specialist. The job description reads as follows (with minor adjustments from us):
Responsibilities
- Data Management, Analysis & Reporting: (i) Design, build, and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards tailored for each project using R, Python, and other open-source tools; (ii) Analyze and interpret complex data sets to enable informed business decisions; (iii) Monitor and analyze lead creation and funnel progress, utilizing open-source analytics frameworks; and (iv) Automate the reconciliation of reports with billing data from the group’s partners, ensuring accuracy and consistency across projects
- Data Warehouse, Design, Development & Maintenance: (i) Design, develop and manage a robust open-source data warehousing solution to centralize data; (ii) Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using R, Python, or other relevant tools; and (iii) Maintain high standards of data hygiene, ensuring accuracy and reliability
- Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) & Data Integration: (i) Develop open-source APIs to provide external partners with secure, real-time access to data, and in some cases the ability to return to the group’s data warehouse new or additional information; (ii) Design secure web pages for data access and modification, using open-source web frameworks; and (iii) Collaborate with external partners to tailor data solutions to their needs
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with stakeholders to define and meet data requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (Master would be a plus)
- 5+ years’ relevant professional experience gained in-house or at a consulting firm, including a full stack data skillset in data science, data engineering, data architecture and data visualization. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in the development of open-source data analysis tools such as, e.g., R and/or Python, and proficiency in SQL. Further, she or he will have experience in (i) open-source database systems like MySQL or PostgreSQL, (ii) open-source web development and API frameworks, (iii) open-source data visualization tools; and will be familiar with marketing CRM, case management software, and digital advertising platform integrations
- Proficient in English. Working level knowledge of either German, French or Spanish would be a plus
- Interest in complementing knowledge and experience in technical data warehouse and software development with a strong understanding of the challenging, growing business of litigation financing
- Interest in working in a collaborative environment that encourages diversity of thought and creative solutions
- Hands-on working style and engineering mindset when conducting development work, combined with an ability to have cross-functional discussions with stakeholders of all levels to identify areas of improvement
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to translate complex data findings for a non-technical audience
- EU/EFTA citizenship; willingness to commute to the Zug area
- Ability to regular business travel of up to 25%
