EMEA Recruitment has partnered with a global healthcare organization operating within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment in its search for a Head of Quality Assurance.
Our client is committed to improving patient access to high-quality medicines worldwide and operates a broad international portfolio across branded products, generics, and complex generics.
As Head of Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all Quality-related activities in Switzerland, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal Quality standards.
You will act as the primary contact for all Quality-related matters across the Swiss entities, and play a key leadership role in maintaining and continuously improving the local Quality Management System.
This position is based in Zug, Switzerland.
Responsibilities of the Head of Quality Assurance include:
Overseeing and managing Quality-related activities across the Swiss affiliate
Acting as the primary contact for all Quality matters involving local entities, and managing Quality budget
Ensuring compliance with Swiss and EU regulatory requirements, internal policies, and SOPs, while driving continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborating cross-functionally to establish Quality metrics, conduct audits, and provide strategic direction to maintain and enhance Quality performance
Ensuring appropriate handling of deviations, complaints, CAPAs, and product recalls
Maintaining accountability for Quality documentation, including SOPs, specifications, PQRs, Site Master File, and Technical Quality Agreements
Overseeing supplier qualification for locally registered products and third-party services, with audit execution delegated to global audit management
Ensuring execution of self-inspections, GDP training, management reviews, and change control activities
Skills & experience required:
Master’s degree or equivalent in Natural Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline
Fluency in German and advanced proficiency in English
Strong knowledge of Swiss national regulations and regulatory guidance, with working knowledge of EU regulatory requirements
Proven experience managing teams and leading a Quality function within a pharmaceutical environment
Demonstrated track record of interaction with Swissmedic, including participation in Scientific Advice Meetings
