Manuscript Critique

This is for writers who want an editor to identify their strengths and weaknesses, or whose manuscripts are still in development.  I review a book in its entirety and provide two pages of feedback. This feedback includes both content edits and a summary of common stylistic problems present in a manuscript.

Copyediting

This service focuses on the accuracy and eloquence of your manuscript, specifically spelling, punctuation, structure, flow, and narration. I provide in-text edits so you can quickly identify and correct problem areas. These are technical edits, and this service targets clients who want to ensure their manuscript utilizes proper English. General feedback is included.

$4.00 per page

One page is equal to 250 words or less

Content Editing

This service analyzes improves and strengthens the broader elements of your manuscript. These can include plot or character development (for fiction), chapter arrangement and cohesion, and the coherence of your over-arching themes. This editing service ultimately targets the excitement and marketability of your manuscript, and I provide a few pages of feedback per chapter. In my professional opinion, content editing is the most vital editing service and the one most overlooked by writers. General feedback is included.

$4.50 per page

Content Editing and Copyediting

This is a package that provides both content editing and copyediting. Clients will receive both a chapter-by-chapter analysis on the broad elements of their book and in-text edits that resolve technical errors. This service is ideal for writers considering self-publication since they will not receive the rigorous rounds of edits that agents and editors associated with publishing houses give their clients. General feedback is included.

$5.50 per page
