Are you already familiar with our posters? If not, then it's about time! In the next months we will introduce our know-how posters, starting with "𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗱𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀". In this poster we list the main causes, parameters and symptoms of nonlinearities and give an overview of the following quantities: ❖ Kms(x) stiffness versus displacement ❖ Bl(x) force factor versus displacement ❖ Le(x) inductance versus displacement ❖ Le(i) inductance versus current Step-by-step ...

Testing all types of headphones can be a challenging and time-consuming task that requires experience and careful handling. In R&D, test procedures are covered by various standards and a multitude of dedicated test fixtures. However, quality control has different priorities including simple handling, speed, stability, robustness against ambient noise and reproducibility. The ultimate goal is reliably distinguishing good and bad units. 👉Application Note 73 focuses on those requirements and pr...

Why is there an unpleasant noise coming from your speaker that can only be heard with a certain music track? Is this related to the driver design, or is there a flaw caused by production or mechanical failure? 🤔 To answer these questions, our 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘇𝗲𝗿 (𝗟𝗔𝗔) module (pre-release) is the right tool for you! ➥ http://www.klippel.de/products/rd-system/modules/laa-live-audio-analyzer.html 👉 Applicable to all audio systems, the 𝗟𝗔𝗔 combines both testing and listenin...

Tactile feedback is getting more and more important for the human-machine interface with today’s growing number of button-free, touchscreen-based user interfaces electronic devices such as smartphones, wearable devices and automatic infotainment systems. Unfortunately, quality control of actuators and complete haptic devices can be difficult since it typically involves temporarily attaching a vibration sensor (accelerometer). To overcome this, we offer a simple and cost-efficient solution based...

Have you seen the Nuvoton smart amplifier product demo with our adaptive nonlinear KLIPPEL Controlled Sound (KCS)? The NAU83G10 and NAU83G20 use KCS to allow smaller speakers to safely operate at their physical limits to generate more acoustical output with less distortion while providing reliable protection against thermal and mechanical overload in a more effective way than conventional linear algorithms. 👉 Check out the demo videos on YouTube Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_a3yuft ...

Nuvoton Smart Amplifier Product Demo Part 1

Loudspeakers are highly nonlinear and time-variant systems. Signal distortion, heating, aging, climate and other external influences limit the maximum level and the quality of the reproduced sound. This video shows how Nuvoton smart amplifier can greatly improve the speaker performance and the sound quality by offering mechanical & thermal protection, automatic system alignment, active compensation of transducer nonlinearities, and active stabilization of the voice coil rest position based on the Klippel Controlled Sound (KCS) technology.youtube.com

Using a round baffle for acoustic measurements is a bad idea, or is it? 🤔 That is usually true, because the diffraction from every point along the baffle’s edge is happening at the same time for a given frequency, which usually significantly disturbs the sound pressure. But did you know that direct sound separation can remove the influence of baffle diffraction? This is possible with our 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗰 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 and the 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗯𝗮𝗳𝗳...

Are you interested in measuring a wireless audio device but struggle with the practical implementation? Or are you interested in multi-tone testing in general? Our engineer Andrew Taylor wrote an article about how to overcome the obstacles of wireless multi-tone testing. The article (originally published in @audioXpress, December 2020) focuses on the needs of manufacturers and designers of modern wireless audio devices and offers valuable insights into multi-tone testing. 👉 Click on the link ...

Practical Test & Measurement: Mastering Wireless Multi-Tone Testing

This article explains the issues resulting from measuring a wireless audio connection and how wireless multi-tone testing can help us to overcome those obstacles. The article is particularly focused on the needs of manufacturers and designers of modern wireless audio devices and offers valuable insights on multi-tone testing, a technique that has been around for many years, and which Klippel perfected in its own multi-tone measurement module (MTON).
