Phelps Music's director Dan Phelps is a composer, pianist and music tutor based in Llantwit Fardre near Pontypridd, South Wales. Dan has a Post Graduate Diploma in Composition from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama as well as a BA (Hons) Degree in Music from Bath Spa University College. 

AFRICAN DRUMMING

We provide African drumming workshops for schools, youth and community groups, businesses, festivals and other family events.

In our workshops participants learn about and get hands-on experience of using traditional African instruments such as Djembe drums, Ghana bells and Shekere shakers.

The workshops aim to engage, enthuse and inspire participants by having fun, making music together and taking a musical journey through the fascinating sounds and rhythms of Africa's cultural heritage while participating in a drum circle.

MUSIC LESSONS

We provide professional piano, theory and composition tuition, with students currently from Rhondda Cynon Taff, Caerphilly, Cardiff and Bridgend. As well as piano tuition, we provide music theory lessons for musicians who are looking to support their music examinations and/or develop their technical knowledge.  We also offer composition support for GCSE and A Level music students. 

PIANIST

We provide an eclectic mix of piano music for Weddings, Care and Residential Homes, Functions and Corporate Events.
