    ''Experimental implementation, modeling and control of a lower arm prosthesis for the Cybathlon Challenge''. The main tasks involved in this thesis work are: 1. Physics based modeling of the prosthesis and the interacting environment in Simulink/MAPLE. 2. Designing a joint impedance based controller using Simulink. 3. Real time Pattern recognition of different grasping intents of the user using EMG signal. 4. Joint parameter estimation using Extended Kalman Filter.

    1. Investigated the effect of intermetallics on the strength of the ball bond connection in a power electronic chip when subjected to a thermal gradient, using ABAQUS. 2. Explored different mathematical methods for modeling adhesion in power electronic chips and implemented the XFEM (Extended FEM) in ABAQUS.

Analysed the effect of the number of screws on the mechanical strength of the connection of two copper plates, using finite element simulation.
