Optimization of thermally-activated rigidity tunable materials for application in soft-robotics based on both numerical (C++ home code) and experimental studies. Numerical investigation (MATLAB) of optimal control in electrostatic energy harvesting with soft-matter arrays of dielectric elastomer transducers.
Comparative analysis of numerical methods on wind turbines from low fidelity methods (e.g. BEM) to high fidelity methods (e.g. CFD) using the structured grid RANS solver FLOWer as part of the initial orientation phase of the MERWind project aiming towards an application of the institute's expertise in rotor dynamics in favour of a multidisciplinary design of wind turbines.
