Alejandra Peñaloza

A 7 day camping trip for destitute children between 6 and 13 years of age from neighbourhoods in Mexico City mainly. Throughout this week children enjoy activities created to develop their imagination, self-knowledge and creativity, valuing team work and self-esteem. Also through regular periods I was in charge of all graphic design of the internal communication of the association and belonged to the team responsible for event planning.

During that summer I engaged in a volunteer work at Flora, Fauna y Cultura de Mexico,A,C, in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, doing a small documentary on the ecosystem of the region, turtle and reforestation work, to make people conscious about their impact on it. This orgainzation takes a social approach to get the community to collaborate and engage with this activities getting as a result a change their way of thinking to make a better world.

Throughout my job as a Graphic Design Intern at the Architecture Department of my university, besides doing most of the editorial design the department needed, I wrote various art and design related articles for its blog, as well as event photography.
