- Technical focal point for Home and Personal Care markets in Western Europe; - Technical focal point for several markets including Paints & Coatings, Oil&Gas, Water treatment, Leather in Southern Europe; - Supported regulatory team in product dossier submission of antimicrobial products under Biocidal Product Regulation (BPR); - Designer and responsible for the DMC High Throughput Biocide Efficacy Testing Platform (TAUNOVATE III).

- Project management of several international projects within DMC; - Establishment of external collaborations with Industry and Academia; - Technical due diligence for potential acquisitions; - Introduction of novel methodologies and processes in the field of molecular biology and high throughput biocide testing; - Setup of a molecular biology lab within DMC; - Biosafety officer at DMC Horgen; - People recruitment and management.

Awarded MRC Career Development Fellowship. Post-doctoral projects: - Structural characterization and epigenetic role of MOZ HAT complex subunits. - Expression, purification and biophysical characterization of several proteins including p300 domains, MDM2/MDMX and p53.

Thesis title: “Analysis of bacterial proteins interfering with eukaryotic cell proliferation”. This thesis explored the possibility of using bacterial proteins in the treatment of cancer. Winner of PhD scholarship of the Università degli Studi di Milano.

Thesis title: “Evaluation of the non-conventional yeast Zygosaccharomyces bailii as a new host for secretion of industrially relevant heterologous proteins”. Final mark: 110/110 (Equivalent of 1st class with honours/ 4.0 GPA).
