End to end responsible for the effective & efficient management of finance operations for the Greek subsidiary of respective Swedish organization. In parallel, was accountable for implementing all major ad-hoc projects as per organization’s business strategy & represent the subsidiary to all external stakeholders (i.e. banks, auditors, suppliers etc.)

Position’s primary objective was the establishment of the operation and, afterwards, the profitable running of the business. Responsibilities scaled from liaising with authorities & coordinating staff recruitment to managing daily activities and monitoring financial indicators.

Due to own expertise & results was given the challenge to coordinate key bank & group wide projects along with any other initiative. Actively responsible to inform General Managers of progress made and prepare quarterly updates for the bank’s Executive Board, Management & Audit Committees.

Role’s primary goal was to provide insights and monitor the operations and projects of Group’s foreign subsidiaries. Among major responsibilities were reviewing the financial statements of foreign subsidiaries and of Special Purpose Entities along with overviewing all upcoming corporate actions (i.e. Share Capital Increase, Regulatory issues)

Appointed as member of the management team with the sole mandate to clean up, run and support the selling of the bank. Considering as key accomplishments, the accounting merger with Eurobank Ergasias S.A., the ongoing support to CFO in preparing the annual & management accounts, the update of restructuring plan, the coordination of external auditors and liaison with all stakeholders.

Counting as career highlights throughout those years that I finalized the parameterisation of the main banking, GL & internal control systems, performed User Acceptance Tests, managed the timely submission of the Head Office reporting and management accounts, established controls over the accounting process, managed portfolios’ sales during the branch’s wind-up.

Key responsibility was to implement the agreed audit plans for major financial institutions & ensure their financial statements are in line with audit findings. Among major tasks & deliverables were the proper review of accounting processes and controls, the effective onsite sampling & seeking of supporting evidence, accurate summary of findings and presentation to audit manager for planning next steps with clients.
