The Student Council is the highest decision-making body of the Student Union of Hanken School of Economics (SHS). It is a one year mandate and the elections are kept annually in October.

As President of The Freshmen Committee I was responsible for the following tasks: - Recruiting and leading 27 tutors - Planning, organizing and executing all the events for the freshmen - Cooperating with the school and other interest gorups to introduce the new students (ca 250) to the school and the extracurricular activities that the student union provides

Coached 9-12 year olds in competitive Swimming. - Responsible for the planning and execution of trainings, competitions and training-camps both in Finland and abroad. - Coached in two teams: Simmis Grani (Grankulla, Finland) and Helsingfors Simsällskap (Helsinki, Finland)

Every year approximately 35 students from all around the world take part in the IHD-seminar. The aim: to introduce the guests to Finnish business culture, economy and Finnish life style. Tasks as President: - Recruit and lead a teams of 23 members - Accommodate all guest with local hosts - Arrange all events during the one-week seminar (e.g Corporate visits, dinner parties, cottage experience, guest lectures, city tours) - Successfully apply for grants and sponsors for the 100% non-profit seminar.
