Annika Blohm

The Telota initiative's main effort is to help promoting digital humanities and open access inside academia by developing software for digital editions, by offering help, by taking part in the corresponding discourses, and by sharing their knowledge. My job includes both frontend development and promoting web standards, accessibility, and usability.

Iversity is a massive open online course platform that has been developed and is curated in Berlin. My job was to take care of bugs in the frontend, to deal with some legacy code in the backend, and to contribute ideas for further development of the product.

The Interdisciplinary Centre "Middle Ages - Renaissance - Early Modern Period" is a project of Freie Universität Berlin, Germany. Its realm combines various and diverse areas of study of both humanities and science per se. While the IC is one of the major projects of Freie Universität Berlin, its office employs only a small number of people, each of them operating the whole project. My work was helping with this endeavour.

Furios is a student magazine that was founded by students at Free University Berlin in 2008. My work as an editor was getting articles and bits into shape for publication.

I was working for the research project "Empirical Research in Education" where my work was to administer the project's website, to provide technical support, and to help organising events.

Verlag Klaus Wagenbach have a strong interest in their interns gaining a good experience in what an editor's work really entails. Thus, their effort is to challenge their interns by entrusting them with tasks that need to be done actually and professionally. Furthermore, they educate their interns by providing them with the knowledge that is needed in the publishing industry one day. The tasks that I was entrusted with stemmed from these circumstances.

Loft Concerts is a major agency that carries out concerts in Berlin and Brandenburg, Germany. I was happy to help with organisation and productions, and to maintain the agency's website.
