I researched business applications and models for a new production technology. Within the research I visited providers of production equipment and manufacturers in different industries in Finland, Germany, France and Switzerland. The work taught me a lot about manufacturing industry and production technologies. In addition, I understand the problems of the modern high-mix low-volume production. The research was successful, besides my MSc Thesis, I got to write two conference papers relating to the topic.

As a part of exchange studies in Argentina, we made a marketing research for Syogra Atlántica, a company focused on massage tables. The empirical research was based on B2B customer interviews and data analysis.

The goal of our project was to develop a concept for a new kind of iPhone applications for Helsingin Sanomat, the largest subscription newspaper in Finland and the Nordic countries. As everyone knows, print media to is converting more and more to digital media the newspaper industry is declining. Respectively, the project focused on building up a business model for the mobile applications we developed. Within the cross-disciplinary project, I got plenty of teamwork and innovation experience. Altogether 16 months of different full-time summer jobs with excellent references (for ex. earth construction, demolition work, landscaping, warehouse work and industrial cleaning). The experience taught me to involve myself in all parts of a job, including the parts that may not be so pleasant.

As a part of a risk management course, we made a risk analysis tool for Finnelpro Oy, a Finnish company focused in electronics and software engineering. The tool we developed was a modified version of PK-HAAVA analysis. The tool was introduced into the risk management of the company.
