Prepares Characteristics tables (Disposition, Demographic, Dosing), Analysis tables (Lifetest, GLM, etc.), Safety tables (Adverse Events, Concomitant Medications), Graphs (Bar charts, Kaplan-Meier curves, etc.) and Listings (Proc Report). Extensively utilizes dynamic formats, macros and views to facilitate multi-use of programs and coding efficiency. Routinely employs input/output controls and qual

SAS Programmer Consultant: Programmer for Clinical Studies. Wrote SAS programs, Views, Derived Data sets, Statistical Summary Reports and Detail Listings. Pioneered coding techniques that run across trials without modifications, something like "code once, run everywhere" technique.

Tax Accountant Consultant: Assisted in the preparation of Federal and State Tax returns. Main responsibility was to self-learn (no one knows how) on-the-fly the business tax software utilized by the firm. Firm called back the following tax year but had ongoing commitments already.

Programmer Consultant: Developed Client Windows programs using PowerBuilder with Oracle Database as the Server. Too short of an assignment to make a difference.

Formal Training: Trained on Client/Server Development. Course included Relational Database Design, LAN Basic Concepts, Client/Server Fundamentals, SQL Language, GUI Design, Advanced Windows, and Object Oriented Analysis with heavy emphasis on PowerBuilder Application Development.

Systems Analyst Consultant : Conducted black box testing for TaxCut93, a commercially available personal tax preparation software. Strong analytical skills were needed to interpret changes to the federal and state tax regulations and test the corresponding federal and state software prior to their release.

Hiatus (Connecticut State Dept. of Unemployment): Responsible to appear like seeking employment while collecting unemployment benefits. Brilliantly accomplished.

Advisory Systems Analyst: Transferred to the Development side of IBM. Led programmers and business analysts to successfully integrate an Accounts Payable application and a Purchasing application. Employed SAS in testing and utilized a Project software to track and control the development process. At that time, our unit was competing with the likes of SAP to develop an integrated computer application - IBM pulled out, I pulled out of IBM (early retirement).

Vendor Controls Analyst: Responsible for auditing IBM's employee benefits' vendors, such as, Blue Cross, Prudential, American Express (travel), etc. Extensively employed SAS to analyze vendor databases and found, as an example, quadruple erroneous payments that even the vendor is not even aware of. (In my opinion, our audit findings and subsequent corrective actions benefited not only IBM but the rest of the corporate world)

Accounting Manager: Initially managed Accounts Payable departments and later promoted to a division Northeast Controls Manager. Instrumental in the installation of an international bank direct deposits system for the company worldwide and directly relieving mailing problems of expatriates. As a Northeast Region Controls Manager for Rolm (a wholly owned subsidiary of IBM), implemented region-wide programs on Quality Improvements employing Process Analysis techniques.

Internal Auditor: Conducted financial and operational audits of the whole company, from headquarters, division sites, plants, to the field branch offices. Started using SAS to analyze mainframe databases to achieve accurate and efficient audit conclusions. Reviewed control postures of business functions such as Accounting (Payroll, Balance Sheet, Accounts Payable, etc.), Marketing Functions (Order Entry, Sales Commission, Sales Territories, etc.), and more.

Financial Analyst: Assigned to control millions of advertising monies. Learned computer programming and wrote (Basic) a computerized Budget Reporting System which was employed to control the advertising budgets and expenses - a much needed tool for the Advertising management.

Accountant: Hired as an Accountant for the Sales and Use Tax Department. To avoid filing late returns (and penalties) for the state of Texas, employed an innovative statistical technique to reduce time consuming clerical steps. Promoted to the Accounts Payable Department. Suggested streamlining the work by alphabetically apportioning the work load - which achieved increased accuracy and efficiency for all
