Development of an Active Lane Keeping System. My Tasks include: • Conduct a benchmark study and a detailed stakeholder analysis. • Arrange and conduct all necessary activities with stakeholders and engineers. • Manage the requirements of stakeholders at DAF as well as stakeholders at TU/e. • Develop a simulation model of a Tractor-Semi-trailer combination in order to develop a controller for lane keeping • Implement the designed system in dSpace to test and validate the functional requirements.

The PDEng traineeship program aims at developing an engineer’s personal and professional skills. As part of a team of bright engineers, I took up different team roles and worked on several automotive projects. Projects include: 1. Design of Savage Rivale BV’s Telescopic Roof System 2. Evaluation of TeamWork Technology BV’s In-Wheel Module 3. Development of a Lane Change System from a Functional Safety Perspective 4. Functional concept of a Lane Change assist and Automatic Lane merging system

Completion of the HTAS Corner Module Project. My tasks inluded: • Conducting vehicle handling and ride comfort simulations with the vehicle simulation model • Providing feedback to other technical partners based on the simulation results and optimise the rear suspension layout • Documenting all research data and compile a design report
