• Responsible for chemicals sales to Chinese high-tech industry of US$60m+ p.a. • Full P&L responsibility, fulfilling high growth expectations for the China market • Formulation and execution of country marketing and sales strategies, New Business Development China market • Leading a team of 25 across 3 locations (Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing) • Establishing and maintaining a beneficial network of business relationships at board level across the Chinese display industry

• Controlling finances of a Chemicals Division of Merck Group and New Business R&D unit focussing specifically on manufacturing, sales & marketing and R&D operations across Germany, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China and Hong Kong • Accountable for the annual financial planning and budgeting process, providing accurate monthly reports to head of division and board members, supporting the division's strategy development process and the evaluation of investment projects

• Closely worked with national & international industry groups to acquire R&D projects in the field of advanced materials and fiber reinforced plastics; responsibility for budgets, market research, project controlling and management • Managed a project portfolio of DM15 -30 mio p.a. • Established an extensive R&D cooperation network across Europe • Supported ongoing expansion of R&D activities and development of the company's strategy and technology portfolio

• Defined, structured and steered consultancy projects, coordinating sub contractors and establishing productive working relationships with colleagues and key accounts • Successfully completed all projects within time and budgetary constraints, acquiring new customers
