CELAL HAKAN CANBAZ

After getting my M.Sc. from Istanbul Technical University, I have started to work as a researcher in this institution. Here, I was responsible in SCAL Analysis laboratory and worked in Two different project includes a new method for Wettability characterization of Reservoir Rocks (Applied for the patent). I have produced 2 conference papers and become 1st place winner of two different paper contests (includes SPE Abu Dhabi Young Professional 1st place winner,2010)during the period worked in this institute.

During my M.Sc. Education in Petroleum Engineering, I have worked as a full time Research/teaching Assistant in the Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Dept. of Istanbul Technical University, Turkey. I was responsible for giving the Laboratory courses of Fluid properties and Core analyses also drilling laboratories. I have worked and specialized in the topics of rock/oil/brine interactions, fluid flow in porous media,Core preparation and SCAL Analysis. Also, I have produced 2 different conference papers.

I worked as a paid intern in General Petroleum Co./Egypt as a selected student for the IAESTE student Exchange Program. During the intern, I have worked in Reservoir, Drilling and Workover departments in Cairo, Production department in Eastern Desert Fields (Ras Gharib/Red Sea) of the country.

As an Intern, I worked in the production department of Ethylene Glycohol dept. and the Petrochemical Components Laboratory in the Complex that includes 17 different factories that produces oil related materials.

Worked in 4 different projects and published 2 conference papers related to SCAL analysis, fluid flow in porous media and Reservoir Wettability.
