I made the practical part of my master thesis about secondary metabolites in Trichoderma Reesei at PD Dipl. -Ing. Dr Monika Schmoll PhD group as a FEMtech student at the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT). During my master work in the Schmoll group at AIT, I got accustomed to working at a GMO laboratory and light-dependent fungi reproduction, alongside strict planning, organisation and group work

I have worked with Stefan Böhmdorfer from BOKU to develop a method for coupling HPTLC with Mass Spectrometry, which will be published with me being the first author.

I could gain experience about producing nutrient products. I worked with the control mechanisms during the production process and I gained the knowledge about identifying the ‘Quality Control Criteria’.

I gained the experience at Prenatal Diagnosis Laboratory, Cytogenetic Laboratory, Molecular Cytogenetics Laboratory and DNA Isolation Laboratory and I had group works about; identification of the chromosomes and counting them, FISH, DNA isolation, C-banding, hybridization, chorionic villus sampling (CVS) examination, amniocentesis and cordocentesis examinations. Furthermore, I had detailed experience at fixing samples from the body liquids (amniotic fluid, bone marrow etc.) of patients.
