Responsible for a supply chain project at one of Nyrstar’s smelters, located in Port Pirie, Australia. Main achievements: • Developed and conducted a feasibility study which identified potential savings of $18+M USD by improving stock adjustment processes, streamlining unloading processes and redefining the role of logistics personnel in a lead and zinc smelter;

Led a change in logistics contractor responsible for cargo loading, managed the transition and ensured that KPIs were met and that the 70 people team remained motivated. Successfully managed and adverted a major crisis when a 20 days strike at the port cut off the railway line into the mill, setting up an entirely new operation within a matter of days which saved $21M USD in potential losses. Managed budget and contract SLA’s with rail and truck providers, leading to a 15% costs reduction

18 months graduate trainee in rotation program for Votorantim group Selected as a graduate trainee for Votorantim group out of 17,000 applicants for one of the 16 entry positions available. Completed a Six-Sigma project (Green Belt Certificate) leading to $1.5M USD in cost reductions by increasing the productivity of vessels loading at the port operations. Developed and implemented an operational planning that reduced the shipping cost by 5% within 2 months.
