    Automated a bore machining process to achieve tolerances less than 0.001". Used CNC probing to ensure that bores were not oversized and preventing nearly completed parts from being scrapped. Worked with Makino and Mazak machines+controllers.

    Developed tests to quickly evaluate the effectiveness of electrical connectors over their estimated life cycle. Utilized FEA in SolidWorks to simulate loading of mechanical hardware. Wrote Arduino code, created circuits, and built moving fixtures. Edited Python code to display multiple signals in real time.

    Developed a camera fixture for use in high-speed (100 ft/s) cable inspection machines. Designed sheet metal parts, tested motors and sensors, and did reliability testing on the system. Machined brass and aluminum parts on milling machines, lathes.

    Redesigned plumbing assembly on 7-foot tall utensil washer. Conducted experiments in a laboratory and smoothed data for presentation. 3D CAD and drawings of sheet metal parts, piping, and motors.

    Mobile Robotics Developer

    University of Toronto Robotics Association

    Designed and built a belt transmission for a tank-drive rover. Placed 3rd in drag race at the International Autonomous Robot Racing Competition 2011 in Vancouver, BC. Rover was featured in the Discovery Channel TV show Prank Science.
