Katie Lahey

I am the key point of contact for faculty and staff members to support and explain our many benefit options. Also, I am responsible for enrollment in our various insurance plans and maintaining the benefit deductions for payroll. I work directly with vendor to analyze, reconcile, audit, and initiate payments. I maintain the benefit website and I collaborate in creating new benefit programs.

I managed multiple employee benefit duties. This required the use of independent judgment, independent analysis and detailed knowledge of employee benefits, collective bargaining agreements, and benefit plan rules for three large union clients (Inlandboatman’s Union of the Pacific, Local 11 Western States, and the Alaska Teamsters) I also coordinated programs, projects, and/or processes by reviewing, investigating and resolving participant, professionals’, and client inquiries.
