Primary job duty is to sell business applications software/solutions and related services to prospective and existing customers. Manage sales through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning. Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the application. Participate in the development, presentation and sales of a value proposition. Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale. Identify and develop strategic alignment with key third party influencers.

Assigned to pursue larger ROI driven sales and drive business development of accounts so they become long term revenue streams for IBM Rational. Whilst I am free to push any Rational solution and chase every opportunity, the key to this role is to engage with customers at a high level and develop compelling ROI to help them with key challenges such as, Application Portfolio Management, Agile Collaborative Development, Enterprise Modernisation, Infrastructure Virtualisation and Application Deployment.
