Test assessment and test process improvement Analysis of the As-Is situation: comparison of the actual test process with industry standards, identification of the strong and weak points. Definition of the To-Be situation (description of the improvement actions, priorities and risks). Selection of the improvements to be put in practice together with the client. Plan the implementation of the improvement projects (priority, impact, effort, duration, budget, personnel).

Manage and perform test activities for various public institutions in Luxembourg, i.e. Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Justice of the Peace, Administrative Court, Chamber of Commerce and the CTIE. The projects cover topics like residence permits (MFA), european criminal record system (CC), contributions of the affiliates (CoC), documentation service and workflows (CC, AC, JoP). Aside from the classic test management tasks a strong focus is set on the continuous improvement of the actual test process.

Test management for the implementation of DVS KIID (external provider) and surrounding applications (in-house developments). Test strategy, plan, FTT, estimation and risk analysis. Training and coaching of the test teams, mostly starters with different levels of business experience, located in LU, DE, UK, PL. Improvement of the test and release management process. Release planning for production and UAT. Test reporting and follow-up with the test teams, development, business and project management.

Coordination of system and acceptance tests performed by members of the business departments. The HROnline application (complete workflow for Social Secretary tasks) was developed by an external provider. Coaching of the testers on test preparation, execution, defect creation and follow-up.

Coaching of the test manager on the STBoX Test Methodology. Topics (selection): test planning, preparation, execution, follow-up, risk evaluation, test coverage, test progress, test infrastructure, test environments, test data, test reporting, test team building. Practical exercises at all levels. Evaluation and improvement of the actual test process.

Test management for a migration project (servers, database and operating system), 6 sub-projects. Migration performed by an external IT service provider, functional and acceptance tests performed by internal (local and international) teams. Improvement of the actual testing process, the teams started at different test maturity levels. Implementation of and coaching in HP Quality Center. Description of an improved workflow to test future migration projects.
