Andasol 3, located in the province of Granada, Spain, is one of the most modern solar thermal power plants, based on solar trough technology, in the world. With its installed power of 50MW it can supply about 165 GWh of regenerative electricity per year. In the course of my internship, I was working in the field of power plant optimization and maintenance in a team of Industrial and chemical engineers.

With RWE in the lead, an international consortium of companies from different industries develops an integrated project of Photovoltaic (PV) and Wind in Morocco. The project is being realised within the scope of the 500 MW Reference Project of the DESERTEC Industrial Initiative (Dii) for Morocco. In this context, I supported the project office and the project manager in particular during the development phase of the Morocco project.
