Mary Woodmansee Green became its Artistic Director and Conductor starting with the 1987-88 season. In 1993, the chorus was renamed the Delaware Valley Chorale to better reflect the regional makeup of the chorus and its audience. At the end of the 1997-98 season Mary stepped down as Artistic Director in order to accept the directorship of the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra.
