I joined Vincotech (up to 200M EUR revenue then) as Director Strategic Purchasing directly reporting to the CEO. Vincotech is an independent subsidiary within the Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (~32B EUR). Key Responsibilities: • Member of Senior Leadership Team and directly reporting to CEO • Full accountability for purchasing of direct&indirect materials, CAPEX, services, with >100M/a EUR of spend • Leading and developing >10 people in strategic and tactical purchasing across Germany, Hungary and China

I led a team of 7 high level procurement professionals, including Commodity Managers and Sourcing Engineers. We manage the strategic procurement of all direct materials for LEDs and other optical semiconductors (e.g. wafers, chemicals, noble metals, substrates, polymers, phosphors, optics, wires, packing materials) for OSRAM Opto Semiconductors.

I established and set up the Forward Sourcing department in Procurement Malaysia and led and managed a team of 5 Sourcing Engineers.

I managed 2 international technology development projects for Chip-Scaled Package LEDs with a project value of c. EUR 2m and c. 30 team members globally.

I held full accountability for the technology development across all Backend processes and materials for OSRAM Opto Semiconductors’ first Chip-Scaled Package LED product platform. I moved with the project to our manufacturing site in Penang, Malaysia, after design freeze.

I joined OSRAM Opto Semiconductors as a Process Development Engineer for die attach for LED packages.

I was involved in the project management and execution of a large global research project into the development of converters for hybrid and electric cars. Budget of EUR 4m was co-funded by the EU and industry partners including Daimler, Renault, Volkswagen, Siemens, Continental, Bosch and Valeo. I was responsible for the development of a novel die attach technology by silver sintering.

I conducted research for my Master thesis. Evaluated a novel gas sensor based on semiconductor oxide for SCR exhaust gas treatment of Diesel cars.
