- Managing the monthly preparation of the management accounts provided to the key internal stakeholders such as the Senior Management Team. - Line management of junior finance staff as deemed appropriate, including the Assistant Financial and Management Accountant. - Lead on a process of regular balance sheet reconciliations (including all bank reconciliations) and manage regular completion and review. - Support the SMT and Central department budget holders in the budgeting and reporting process

- Support budget holders in the preparation of bids for future operating and project budgets as part of the annual planning process - Perform consistent and thorough analytical review of monthly management information, ensuring that appropriate and timely corrective action is taken where anomalies are identified. - Develop a forecasting methodology that will enable management information to reflect current forecasts

- Delivered a range of significant improvements to the End of Month accrual accounting process. Ascertained that the End of Month accruals were previously undertaken exclusively by the CFO. Discussed process requirements with Finance and Administration staff. Achievement: Increased the accuracy of financial information for month-end reporting and identified areas of budget savings particularly in internet charges, with an approximate total savings of AU$24,000.
