Main items: Diesel, Raw materials, Packaging, Spare parts and other MRO, IT materials and Services (3 Cement factories, 1200 people) • Manage the Procurement team of 10 people • Lead the centralization of the Procurement function to gain national synergies.

Held several positions in the Corporate Procurement organization. Responsibilities included: • 15 month assignment to Eastern Europe in order to lead local procurement organizations, as well as decide on and implement new procurement organization for the region • Leading specific sourcing teams for: Earthmoving equipment (incl. fleet optimization), Tires, Lubricants, Coal, and Bearings • Responsible for providing Strategic Sourcing Training globally

Responsible for developing global strategy for the yearly plastic closures spend of USD 500 million, persuading bottlers to join the Global Procurement program, and negotiating, as well as providing commercial and strategic expertise on development projects.

Responsible for purchasing and developing the European Packaging purchasing strategy in cooperation with Global purchasing managers for glass bottles, closures, crowns and paper packaging

Responsible for developing projects both physical and in SAP to improve service levels and the cost position in the supply chain.

Responsible for negotiating rates and service levels for marine container shipments, as well as for rail, tank-container, small truck shipments, air freight, and off site tank and warehouse storage.

Responsible for negotiating purchases of specific raw materials initially for the Dow Plant in Terneuzen, and later for all the Dow plants in the Benelux countries.

Responsible for providing support to the European Commodity Purchasing managers by coordinating between central purchasing and the manufacturing sites.
