Planning and giving classes to students, from infant to adults. Additional administartive duties included writing lesson plans for the school, writing reports and creating inventories of resources. I also have been contributing to the marketing department of the company, by writing blogs for the website an social media pages.

Duties included teaching international students aged 11-17, working in a team to devise the syllabuses and supervising social and cultural trips. Using initiative, organisational skills and teamwork were very important here as I had to arrange and supervise travel to and from airports, and provide pastoral care and support as well as my teaching duties.

This role required me to give in-company business English classes. Teaching English greatly improved my communication skills by instructing information and ideas to groups and individuals with varying levels of English. This meant utilising non-verbal and/or written communications and finding ways to engage with people in order to promote practical language use. This role also included regular presentations to groups and editing support to clients.

Sales and promotional work for a range of beauty brands. This varied role taught me to use initiative to recognise and adapt to different brand identities quickly, as I often had to represent a company at short notice. Duties included using communication and interpersonal skills to sell directly to customers, working under pressure to targets and working as a team to run sites effectively.

This internship gave me experience in publicising brands to the press and handling client accounts. My main task was to liaise with and pitch to journalists via telephone and email, and reporting back to clients. I also wrote press releases and advertorials, creating reports and handled social media. I was the account contact for one e-commerce client and I achieved press for this client in national publications.

Financial administration role in a large insurance company. This job required professional communication with both clients and insurance companies, administrative support, data entry, organising and processing files and applications and using IT software.

In this microbiology lab, I honed my ability to interpret, analyse and record numerical data, as well as reporting and presenting findings in a clear and concise way, such as in graphs and charts. The need for accurate work and attention to detail here was a valuable experience.

Modules include film, culture criticism, Spanish and archaeology as well as traditional English Modules.
