Scott Anderson

I am a freelance User Experience Architect based in Calgary, Canada. I will continue to work on contract for UX Guys when needed, but I am available for other projects with new clients. I now work almost exclusively in Axure, which allows me to incorporate dynamic interface behaviour throughout the design process. Wireframes are no longer static documents, but functional prototypes that illustrate both user interaction models and the underlying logic and flow of complex business applications.

As a member of the UX Guys team, I was typically engaged as a UX lead on a wide range of projects, responsible for user experience strategy, information architecture and interaction design. Projects ranged from the development of mobile or tablet apps, to e-commerce redesigns, development of complex browser-based software applications, and to public web site or intranet redesigns. Clients includes major oil companies, telecommunications, software and airlines.

During a five-month sabbatical in Berlin, I worked as a consultant for MetaDesign on a redesign project for a German company that shall remain nameless, but which makes large numbers of highly complicated things. Working languages were Deutsch and Schwäbisch.

relocated to Berlin for the second half of 2009. During my stay I worked with MetaDesign on interactive projects for Volkswagen and iGuzzini (an architectural lighting company based in Italy). Working languages were both English and German.

Information Architect in the Insight & Planning group for a leading creative/interactive agency. Responsible for user interface development (deliverables included wireframes, site maps, task flows, user personas) along with qualitative research and business analysis. Previously a content analyst at Critical Mass, responsible for audits, strategy documents and copywriting.
