Build and manage highly-scalable systems that apply machine learning to predict lead time for Amazon's inbound shipments, resulting in better automated purchasing and more efficient labor planning at our fulfillment centers.

- Achieved our intelligent systems vision by leading the Seller Fraud engineering team to implement machine learning in fraud detection systems. Worked with Operations and Analytics teams to deploy machine-learning models and rules that detect new fraud MOs as fraudsters change their strategies and attack vectors. - Managed several high-volume, low­-latency services that detect suspicious activities and stop fraudsters from causing financial and reputation damage.

System Center Configuration Manager 2012 - Led a team of 19 developers to create a device management solution for Windows Phone, Mac OS X and Nokia Symbian phones. Designed the architecture for the Nokia device client and created a common information model that unified device configuration across Windows CE, Windows Mobile and Symbian. Designed the cross-platform architecture that enabled the Device Management server to support multiple OS using different protocols in the future.

System Center Configuration Manager 2007 - Led a team of 12 developers to deliver the OS deployment feature. It was a key product feature that provided large-scale Windows deployment and significantly reduced the cost for OS upgrade and installation for our customers. The feature was used internally at Microsoft to automatically upgrade thousands of machines from Vista or Windows XP to Windows 7 and it was a huge success.

Systems Management Server 2003 and 2.0 - I designed the architecture for the device management server and wrote the server UI components and device password sign-in app in C++. Designed the device management protocol with the Windows CE team and worked with the Microsoft Business Solutions team to integrate their device settings tool into the our product, resulting in Device Management to be one of the new features in SCCM 2007.

Windows for Smartcards 1.1 and 2.0 - Implemented numerous optimizations in C++ for the Visual Basic compiler and the byte code interpreter in the operating system that reduced code size by 20% and improved run-time performance. - I assisted marketing to promote our product. I demonstrated the product at the Microsoft Technical Briefing in San Diego and at the Global Platform technology at Cartes 2000 in Paris, France.

VisualAge for C++ for Windows 4.0 - Implemented the code generation engine in PL/9 for the Intel IA-64 (Itanium) C++ compiler. - Implemented support for IA-64 and Windows PE32+ format in the Linker. - Ported the whole x86 C++ compiler myself from Windows to Linux in 3 weeks as a technology preview. The result was well received and the compiler team integrated my code changes into the product.
