Job Description

Your tasks:

As a Senior Material Handler, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring the flawless handling and processing of materials. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the team in the absence of the team leader Cold/Ambient
• Tracking and managing departmental statistics and critical metrics
• Implementing Tier 1 meetings daily and updating the Tier 1 board when the Tier 1 lead is absent
• Picking and sorting clinical trial samples
• Packaging clinical trial samples for shipment
• Printing and pre-sorting shipping orders
• Registering all process steps in the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) system in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and packaging regulations
• Aligning with quality requirements, hygiene, and work regulations as per SOP
• Implementing and detailing continuous process improvements with the help of LEAN and PPI tools
• Packing orders with different shipping methods such as DHL or Premium (WoCo, PSI, YourWay, TNT, Agility)
• Packing orders of "direct containerization orders"
• Independently and responsibly processing and controlling orders in accordance with IATA guidelines (Full Dangerous Goods)
• Ensuring accurate processing of orders to avoid customer complaints
• Pushing back materials for the high-bay warehouse using Warehouse Management Software (WMS)
• Planning transfer requests using KANBAN tickets and PowerBI software
• Supporting the team leader in training newly hired personnel
• Acting as a contact person for other employees in case of questions about the process

Your profile:

We are looking for an exceptionally skilled professional with:

• Technical or commercial training is an advantage
• At least two years of experience in industry/logistics
• Good digital literacy (MS Office, databases)
• Good knowledge of German, both written and spoken. English is an advantage.
• Ability to meet time limits and prioritize activities
• Exact and detailed work
• Good interpersonal responsibilities
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure
