Your Responsibilities

• Ownership & Leadership: Take full strategic and operational leadership of the proprietary power trading desk, inspiring, guiding, and managing a senior high-performance team.
• Innovation & Strategy: Develop, test, and refine market-leading, fundamentals-based trading strategies focused on all the European power markets.
• Accountability for Results: Drive and achieve ambitious financial targets together with your team.
• Cross-Commodity & Trading Strategies: Pioneer cross-commodity trading approaches, product innovations, and establish strategies for long-term market positioning. Strong cooperation with the other trading desks.
• Coordination: Collaborate across internal and external partners to maximize synergies and guarantee best-in-class reporting and communication.
• Compliance: Ensure all trading activity strictly complies with Axpo’s Code of Conduct as well as all regulatory and risk management requirements.

Your Profile

• University degree in Economics, Engineering, or comparable fields; advanced energy sector qualifications are an advantage.
• Leadership & Trading Expertise: Significant experience managing international trading teams, with a strong, verifiable track record in European power trading.
• Resilience & Decision-Making: Able to perform and lead under pressure in demanding market environments; you set the standard for your team.
• Analytical & Innovative: Exceptional analytical skills, strategic vision, and an unwavering focus on results.
• Language Skills: Fluent in English (written and spoken); further European language skills are a plus.
