Position Summary

Take the lead in shaping the future of aircraft interiors. As Director Cabin Installation , you’ll oversee and drive the execution of complex cabin installation projects. This role sits at the intersection of hands-on operations, cross-functional leadership, and high-end craftsmanship. You’ll manage a team of around 40 professionals and ensure seamless collaboration across different departments. With a focus on operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and process standardization, your leadership will directly impact quality, turnaround times, and customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams: Manage a team of approx. 40 FTEs, including aircraft managers, cabin installation technicians, and electro-technicians. Provide clear direction, coaching, and professional development.
• Ensure integrated project execution: Oversee coordination across cabin, B1 (mechanical/airframe), and B2 (avionics/electrical) functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Drive process standardization and improvement: Define, implement, and refine standardized processes and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce aircraft downtime.
• Ensure regulatory compliance: Maintain strict adherence to aviation safety, quality, and regulatory requirements (e.g., EASA, FAA).
• Manage performance and delivery: Monitor project progress, budget, and resource allocation. Identify risks early and implement effective corrective actions.
• Support cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment and delivery excellence.
• Foster a culture of excellence: Promote a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
• Ensure proper documentation and certification: Oversee all necessary documentation, certification, and approval processes for cabin modification and installation projects.

Your profile

• University degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field – or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, modification, or cabin installation, including at least 2 years in a leadership/director-level role
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations, particularly EASA Part 145 and 21G
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex projects while meeting performance, quality, and budget targets
• Solid experience in process improvement and operational excellence; knowledge of Lean principles is a plus
• Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and certification processes
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and develop diverse teams
• Customer- and safety-focused mindset with a high level of personal accountability
• Hands-on experience with cabin modifications and retrofit projects (desirable)
• Green Belt or Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma (preferred)
