The Position

We are People Insights & Technology (PI&T), a vital part of the People & Culture (P&C) organization. Our vision is to unleash exponential people and business impact through data-driven decisions, surfacing actionable insights, and embracing people-centric technology. As part of the Data Governance & Privacy (AoP) chapter, we ensure P&C data assets are of high quality, trusted, understood, and utilized in a protected and FAIR manner.

As the Global People & Culture Data Steward , you will serve as the Information Governance Manager and a global data privacy liaison for P&C. In this role, you will collaborate with internal departments—including P&C, Group IT, and Group Legal—to address data governance and privacy requirements across business processes, P&C solutions, and data processing activities.

The Opportunity

• Expert Consulting: Advise the P&C organization on information governance, AI usage, data governance, and data privacy, serving as a key liaison in the privacy network.

• IT Security Compliance: Support solution owners in the Information Risk Assessment and Mitigation Process, including AI assessments, with a proactive "enabling" mindset.

• Privacy Compliance : Support business process and use case owner in documenting their data processing activities and in improving privacy compliance if required

• Regulatory Monitoring: Track the legal landscape (GDPR, EU AI Act, etc.) to understand implications for P&C data, raising stakeholder awareness and managing compliance implementation projects.

• Data Governance Leadership: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in data governance, coaching less experienced data stewards and new data leads within the people data domain.

• Strategic Implementation: Consult with data owners and IT during the planning and implementation phases of new data products.

• Stakeholder Partnership: Align business goals with stakeholder interests, navigating complex, multicultural, and highly matrixed environments to build long-term relationships.

• Negotiation & Influence: Utilize skillful negotiation and conflict resolution to maintain positive relationships and influence outcomes both within and beyond the chapter.

Who You Are

• Experienced Professional: You possess at least 5 years of related experience in People & Culture, with a proficient understanding of the data privacy landscape and information security.

• Education & Expertise: You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Legal, Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (advanced certifications are a plus).

• Technical Acumen: You demonstrate mastery of data governance processes and tools, alongside strong P&C business process knowledge and digital fluency.

• Strategic Thinker: You are a systems thinker who embraces agility, demonstrates emotional intelligence, and excels at strategic partnering and decision-making.

• Effective Communicator: You possess essential English communication skills (written and spoken), with additional languages being an advantage, and are comfortable with virtual collaboration to minimize travel.
