vacancy for our Basel based client in the Financial Services sector

Your tasks:

• Design and implement security tools, detection rules, parsers, and integrations to strengthen the security stack
• Automate and improve existing security processes and workflows to increase efficiency and resilience
• Contribute to threat modelling and secure design reviews for cloud-based solutions
• Develop and test engineering solutions, validating feasibility and providing technical feedback to stakeholders
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation and support communication of security recommendations
• Research technical improvements across systems, processes, infrastructure, and tooling in line with security best practice

Your experience/knowledge:

• Experience in security engineering, SOC engineering, or security automation roles
• Strong Azure security knowledge, including Entra ID, RBAC, managed identities, and network security concepts such as Private Endpoints and NSGs
• Hands-on experience with SOAR or workflow automation platforms, preferably Apache NiFi or a comparable solution
• Solid Python skills for security automation, API integrations, tooling pipelines, or custom processors
• Experience with REST API integrations and secure authentication patterns such as OAuth 2.0/OIDC, service principals, and managed identities
• Language skills: English
• Your soft skills:
• Proactive and able to work independently in a complex environment
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Collaborative mindset with effective communication across technical and governance audiences
