A Snapshot of Your Day 
As a Commodity Manager (f/m/d), you will be a key individual contributor responsible for shaping and managing the supply chain for critical components, such as turbine blades and vanes. You will lead daily strategic sourcing activities, coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and operations, and monitor supplier performance to proactively address commercial issues. You will prepare and conduct negotiations, analyze market trends, evaluate total costs, and build business cases to support supplier selection. Throughout the day, you will communicate objectives, progress, and results to stakeholders and senior management.
How You’ll Make an Impact 

• Develop and execute commodity strategies aligned with long-term business objectives
• Lead strategic sourcing projects from RFQ to contract signature
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms to optimize cost, quality, and risk
• Strengthen supply chain resilience by selecting and developing key suppliers
• Drive supplier performance improvements and continuous cost reduction initiatives
• Deliver measurable results through data-driven decision-making and cross-functional collaboration

What You Bring

• Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a comparable field
• Longstanding experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supplier management
• Strong expertise in negotiation and contract management
• Excellent analytical skills with experience in total cost and market analysis
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership capabilities
• Business fluent English; German is a plus

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
