What to Expect
The Facility Manager of our technical engineering center will play a critical role in ensuring smooth daily operations and compliance. This manager will build and lead a technical team, ensuring seamless operations of complex facility systems. This position requires a cross-functional leader who can "wear multiple hats," balancing technical expertise, team management, and strategic planning to drive efficiency, safety, and innovation. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in scaling TEC’s infrastructure capabilities, from conceptual design to day-to-day operations - fostering a culture of continuous improvement
What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor a high-performing facility operations team, focusing on core competencies in mechanical systems, automation, maintenance and workplace management
- Define the technical vision for the Facilities Department, aligning with TEC’s operational and sustainability goals. Lead end-to-end project management for new system installations, upgrades, and commissioning
- Implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies to maximize system reliability and reduce downtime
- Manage budgets and finance processes, including purchase orders, invoice approvals, and cost saving initiatives
- Act as a key liaison between Facilities, Engineering, and EHS teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Communicate project updates, budget insights, and operational risks to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders
- Respond to emergencies promptly and collaborate cross‑functionally with internal and external stakeholders
What You’ll Bring
- Several years of experience in facility management, with a focus on industrial operations and systems
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field. Equivalent technical or operational experience will be considered
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, and process flow charts
- Experience with data analysis, system monitoring tools, and maintenance management software
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, vendor coordination, and stakeholder communication
- Familiarity with German/EU standards for facilities management and environmental safety regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German
- Proficiency in MS Office, CMMS softwareWhy Join Us?
