Gas turbine project engineer (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

• Qualification of coating processes (HVOF and APS) for gas turbine components
• Preparation, execution and evaluation of coating tests
• Responsibility, provision and development of PBF-LB/M technology for gas turbine blade repair.
• Renewal of the portfolio through planning and implementation of product and process qualifications, in cooperation with supply chain management, product development, technology experts in the upstream and downstream steps of the refurbishment process chain
• Planning and monitoring of product and process qualification projects in the back office for gas turbine blades and blades
• Implementation of improvement projects in manufacturing
• Provision of work equipment for production, e.g. IT systems, specifications, work instructions, training materials
• Advice to product developers regarding production-oriented product design
• Development of new processes and industrialization, including co-design of the production portfolio at the site
• Data preparation for project plans
• Manufacturing contact person for technical questions or problems
• You analyse manufacturing processes identify potential improvements and implement improvements
• With increasing experience, they become involved in larger (partly transatlantic) projects
• You report to our project partners in English and written

Your profile

• Successfully completed university degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, materials engineering, chemistry or comparable
• Technical and special knowledge in the field of robot/CNC programming
• Technical and special knowledge in the area of thermal spray processes (LPPS, LVPS, APS, HVOF)
• Expert knowledge in materials technology, in particular coating, joining and surface technology
• Profound knowledge in the area of statistical process analysis and test planning as well as in the use of appropriate software (e.g. Minitab)
• Profound knowledge of project management methods and tools
• Knowledge of gas turbine technology
• Interest in the development of software tools and digitization in the area of project management
• Ideally, knowledge of turbomachinery and power plants
