About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented HR & Legal Assistant to join our growing team. This hybrid role supports both People Operations and Legal Administration, ensuring smooth HR processes and diligent legal documentation across the organization. If you’re a paralegal with HR exposure, or an HR generalist with legal operations experience, this could be a perfect fit.
Key Responsibilities
HR Support
• Assist with recruiting processes, including scheduling interviews, candidate communication.
• Support onboarding activities, ensuring new hires have the necessary documents, access, and introductions.
• Help maintain and update employee records, compliance documentation, and training materials.
• Coordinate trainings, compliance workshops, and onboarding sessions.
• Implementation and follow up of systems with teams.
Legal Assistance
• Support contract lifecycle management: tracking, drafting basic agreements/templates, and organizing reviews.
• Manage and oversee the execution of documents (e.g. NDAs, employment contracts), ensuring timely electronic signing and proper authorization.
• Maintain organized legal document filing systems for contracts, compliance records, and corporate governance materials.
• Conduct basic legal research and liaise with external legal counsel when needed.
• Ensure data and documentation is filed correctly to meet audit and compliance standards.
Requirements
• Paralegal certification or equivalent legal background preferred.
• Prior experience in an HR, legal ops, or administrative support role.
• Strong understanding of general legal principles, confidentiality, and contract handling.
• Familiarity with HR policies, recruiting practices, and onboarding processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Tech-savvy: able to work with tools like Google Workspace, e-signature tools (e.g. DocuSign), and contract databases.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, confidence communicating in both German and English.
• Implementation of excel sheets, preparation of word documents and ensuring up to date powerpoint presentations.
Nice to Have
• Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Exposure to employment law, GDPR/data protection practices, and labor compliance.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional legal or HR projects.
