Team Leadership & Data/AI Strategy

• Lead a team of Data/Analytics Engineers and AI/ML Engineers (people leadership and technical guidance)

• Mentor and coach team members, enabling growth, ownership, and best practices

• Play a central role in shaping and executing the company’s Data & AI strategy, including company-wide adoption

• Deliver measurable business impact through data-driven solutions and AI-supported decision-making

GenAI/ML Use Cases & Product Collaboration

• Manage the implementation of machine learning and GenAI use cases (including LLM- and RAG-based approaches)

• Build AI and data capabilities in close collaboration with product development teams

• Own the end-to-end delivery from consumer requirements to consumable data and AI products

Platform, Infrastructure & Operations

• Design, build, and maintain the technical AI and machine learning infrastructure (cloud-based)

• Own the technical implementation, operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of your team’s components

• Deliver efficient data and AI pipelines, including deployment, monitoring, and quality assurance

• Manage data access, platform security, and compliant data processing

Governance, Security & External Tool Integration

• Develop and integrate data governance tooling (e.g., automated data deletion, consent/tracking management)

• Lead technical integration of selected external data/AI tools (including marketing-related contexts)

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data protection standards

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with data consumers across the company (e.g., leadership, product, marketing, finance, customer support, operations)

• Translate business needs into robust, scalable data and AI solutions

Profile

• Degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Natural Sciences) or equivalent experience

• Strong expertise in modern AI use cases, agent-based applications, and best practices

• Deep knowledge of machine learning, generative AI, LLMs & RAG, AI agents, and relevant technical toolchains (e.g., LLM APIs, orchestration frameworks, observability/tracing)

• Excellent Python and SQL skills (Java is a plus)

• Solid experience with modern cloud-based AI platforms and infrastructure (public cloud environments)

• Familiarity with common web analytics, tag management, and BI/reporting tools is a plus

• Strong software engineering foundation: requirements, version control, CI/CD, testing, deployment, and monitoring for data pipelines and services

• Understanding of data/AI security, privacy requirements, and data protection regulations

• Strong people and stakeholder skills, proactive mindset, solution orientation, high ownership

• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (German is a plus)
