Straumann/ClearCorrect is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer with strong expertise in 3D graphics and computational geometry and with hands-on C++ experience, to join our innovative team. The role focuses on developing advanced algorithms and automation pipelines for dental applications, including teeth alignment, segmentation, and material reconstruction.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement ML models for automating and processing 3D data in orthodontic treatment.
• Integrate ML models into existing C++ code base
• Develop algorithms for teeth segmentation in 3D scans and imaging data.
• Work on material reconstruction of teeth for realistic visualization and simulation.
• Collaborate with domain experts (orthodontists, clinical specialists and biomechanical engineers) to refine requirements and validate solutions.
• Optimize computational geometry workflows for efficiency and accuracy.
• Integrate solutions into production-ready pipelines and software tools.
• Stay updated with the latest research in ML, 3D graphics, and medical imaging.
Your Profile - Qualifications
• Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong background in machine learning, deep learning.
• Proven hands-on experience with code development in C++
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Proven experience with 3D graphics, computational geometry (meshes, point clouds, surface reconstruction) or computer vision
• Experience with medical imaging data (CT, CBCT, intraoral scans) is a plus.
Preferred Skills
• Familiarity with GANs, diffusion models, or neural rendering for material reconstruction.
• Familiarity with biomedical applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
