Role: 0.6 FTE
Beginning Date: Mid-October 2026
Location: Catalyst Institute for Creative Arts & Technology
Salary: €33.527,00 Gross FTE
Catalyst Institute for Creative Arts and Technology is a creative production learning community delivering Bachelor's & Master’s programmes and short courses. Organised into three schools (Music & Sound; Film & Visual Media and Creative Human Development), our diverse and ever-growing programmes are based on the values and concepts of progressive, practice-based education whilst complying with the rigorous requirements of a UK university qualification.
Aiming to become the international creative production and performance learning institution of choice, we encourage students to push their creative boundaries way beyond what they thought possible, at the same time engaging with their personal growth as a human being. With staff and students from over 75 different countries, our creative community is a working environment that is international and multicultural.

What are we looking for?
A team member
Whilst the aims of the school are what bring us together, what keeps us together in our dynamic community is the idea that people can bring more of their authentic selves and not just their "professional” selves to the workplace. We are excited to invite team members who have the courage to bring more of their own interests, insights and backgrounds to the mix.
Programme Support Assistant
We are looking for someone organised, friendly, and highly efficient to help the Programme Support team to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll be the first port of call for routine student and staff enquiries, helping students quickly and clearly. Your day-to-day will include responding to student enquiries at the programme support office, timely inbox management, picking up and escalating issues when needed, supporting exam coordination and communications, and helping with student inductions and other admin tasks during peak times.
You are a compassionate and proactive team player with a passion for supporting students' emotional and academic wellbeing as creative learners. You have experience in education, learner support roles and are confident in supporting student wellbeing and an accessible learning environment where student voices and experiences are at the centre of learning. You are hands-on when it comes to solutions and collaboration with care and great attention to detail and organisational processes.
///
Key Accountabilities
•Monitor and respond to programme inboxes promptly and professionally; triage and escalate complex issues appropriately
•Support examination logistics and communications (scheduling, instructions, basic record-keeping)
•Assist with student inductions, enrolment admin and orientation logistics to help new students get started
•Maintain accurate records and carry out routine administrative tasks (filing, data entry, simple reporting)
•Use Google Sheets for tracking and mail-merge-style communications
///
About you
Essential
•Inbox Management - efficient response to time-sensitive enquiries
•Excellent written communication with clear, friendly and professional emails and messages
•Confident user of Google Sheets (formulas, sorting/filtering, and comfortable with mail-merge workflows)
•Strong attention to detail and organised - you spot inconsistencies and follow through
•A practical understanding of GDPR and data privacy and how to handle student information responsibly
•Friendly, patient and service-oriented - you are happy supporting students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds
•Previous admin experience in education or a busy service role is a plus.
///
Desirable Skills/Experience
•Experience in education settings and supporting student/learner enquiries
•Experience supporting international and multilingual cohorts.
•Knowledge of academic regulations in a tertiary education setting.
///
What we measure
•Timely assessment and response to student enquiries
•Meeting academic cycle and examination deadlines
•Accuracy of records <2% errors
•Efficient and error-free coordination of examination notifications to students.
///
What you can expect from us
We offer a working environment where learning and exchange are invited and encouraged. Within our vibrant creative community, we share a lively and flexible work environment. By design, the working environment invites fuller expression of yourself, taking initiative in shaping your own role(s), and opening up possibilities to develop yourself professionally, personally and creatively.
Part of what animates our work together is trying to find ways of delivering a progressive and rigorous education to our students, whilst centering community and belonging. We therefore strongly encourage applications from those who would traditionally be excluded from the workplace. For Catalyst that means we envision a constellation of team members that is diverse in its gender, race, class, ability, age and sexual orientation backgrounds.
