Über diesen Job
Nox is aiming to become the best alternative to short-haul flights by soon offering premium overnight trains across Europe. With a radically redesigned interior and onboard experience, people travel in style, saving time being asleep. We now search for the most passionate and talented people out there to bring the first of many more Nox trains on the tracks.
We believe in strong teams through diversity, fresh thinking, and a shared commitment to build something meaningful. Apart from that, these things are important to us:
- Stay real. From intern to CEO, everyone will work at least two cabin crew shifts a year
- Own it. Take responsibility from day one to shape Nox with your personal touch
- Challenge. Question legacy thinking and push ideas that really excite our customers
We care about strong, data-informed thinking and clear communication, but just as much about building a team with diverse perspectives and experiences. We especially encourage individuals who are usually underrepresented in traditional industries and business contexts, creating a more inclusive and balanced environment for the whole team.
If you enjoy turning complex ideas into reality and working with diverse partners to make things happen, this role could be for you. As a Project Manager (f/m/d), you will drive complex projects end-to-end, balancing strategic, technical, and financial demands under tight timelines, while building trust, navigating challenges, and keeping progress on track.
Tasks
- Prepare our launch: Take over major strategic projects with multiple external key partners such as train workshops, manufacturers, leasing companies, engineering partners and regulators
- Manage interests: Navigate complex product- and financial requirements with tight timelines and keep a clear head when things get heated
- Build relationships: Legacy Rail and Start-Ups can be colliding worlds sometimes, so play your empathy and assertiveness wisely to bring them together and drive progress
- Stay alert: Monitor project progress to identify potential roadblocks, resource gaps, and timeline issues early, and facilitate resolving them with the right balance of diplomacy and assertiveness
Requirements
- You have 3+ years of project management, consulting, business development or similar experience, ideally in environments with multiple external partners and tight deadlines
- You are a strong communicator who can advocate for your ideas while remaining open to feedback and fostering constructive dialogue
- You stay motivated and excited about new challenges, even after multiple obstacles a day
- Professional experience in the railway sector and an understanding of its regulation, homologation and technical framework is a plus
- German proficiency of C2, Fluent in English, every other language is a plus
Benefits
- A small, young and powerful team with diverse backgrounds, visions and skills
- A culture built on flat hierarchies, zero corporate politics and plenty of room for you to grow
- A chance to build one of the most influential products in European mobility and hospitality
- A competitive start-up salary combined with employee stock options
- A lot of new things. If you love the unknown and can adapt quickly, you’ll have tons of fun with us
- A free contingent of Nox rides in the future, Nextbike subscription, strong Travel discounts as well as choice of either Deutschlandticket, Urban Sports Club or sport reimbursements.
Please don’t let imposter syndrome hold you back; we value your passion and potential more than a perfect match with every requirement. Even if you don’t meet every single criterion, we still encourage you to apply.
Please note: All positions require fluent English unless stated otherwise; additional languages are a plus.
Along with your CV, please include your salary expectations, earliest possible start date, and your answer to the following question in your motivational letter or application email:
Why does Nox need to exist - and why are you the right person to help build it? (max. 3–4 sentences)
