Tasks

• Acting as in-house expert consultant with all MEP related aspects of projects during inception, acquisition, concept, design, tender, construction, and completion phases of projects.
• Accompanying projects and our Project Management / Cost Management / TDD / Project Monitoring teams and client base along their entire lifecycle, with focus on all MEP related matters.
• Performing visual inspections (Technical Due Diligence) with focus on – but not limited to - the MEP installations.
• Performing Building Services condition analysis and reporting, data validation, life-cycle assessments, and review maintenance schedules.
• Co-producing “Red Flag Reports” within our specified parameters and templates.
• Assisting our Project Managers in maintaining a smooth transition with the client and/or user during the testing, commissioning, and handover phase of projects.
• Ensuring that all MEP related documentation of projects is complete and accurate in terms of design, construction, operational policy, and contractual compliance, for each relevant project phase.
• Leading MEP related Project Management tasks for new-build and refurbishment projects (retail, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use).
• Leading MEP Project Supervision ensuring compliance with design, quality, building regulations, and agreed timelines.
• Coordinating internal and external project teams related to MEP installations.
• Carrying out Scope, Schedule, Quality and Cost control related to all MEP installations.
• Supporting our Cost Managers and Project Management team in all MEP aspects including technical questions and cost estimates.
• Supporting our Business Development team on site visits / client meetings and advising on MEP related matters to win new work.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• Good all-round knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing installations.
• Good knowledge of the construction industry MEP matters, especially in Germany.
• Familiar with MEP norms and regulations in Germany (VDI, DIN EN, etc.).
• Familiar with working to HOAI stages of work.
• Familiar with working with VOB construction contracts in Germany.
• Good knowledge of prices and rates in the German construction market.
• Good understanding of HS&E (Health, Safety and Environment) legislation on all MEP related aspects of a project.
• Experience in delivering multiple projects simultaneously and in different phases of their life cycle.
• Experience in the office, hotel, and commercial sectors is beneficial.
• You work well within a team and possess strong communication and social competencies.
• You are used to working autonomously with minimal supervision.
• You are reliable and service-oriented with a high level of quality and cost awareness.
• Expert level of using typical MS office computer applications, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Good level of spoken and written German and English.
• Prepared to travel within Germany and continental Europe.
• Full drivers’ licence is beneficial.
